American grappling ace Tammi Musumeci has had two matches in ONE Championship under her belt but admits she is still getting used to the bright lights of the promotion.
The New Jersey native, elder sister to ONE flyweight submission grappling world champion Mikey Musumeci, chalked up her second straight victory at ONE Fight Night 12 on Prime Video on July 14 in Bangkok.
She defeated Ecuadorian-American Amanda Alequin by unanimous decision in their featured 10-minute strawweight grappling showdown.
It was in follow-up to her maiden ONE victory back in March, where she was also a hands-down decision winner.

While she was happy to earn another victory, Tammi Musumeci said she could have performed better if not for the pressure she still has to deal with fighting on the big stage of ONE Championship.
The 29-year-old Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt told the South China Morning Post following her victory:
“So, I feel like I'm thankful that I was able to get to when she's really tough. I definitely feel like I could have performed better. I'm still getting used to I guess the nerves of being in you know the cage or the ring.”

Against familiar foe Amanda Alequin, whom she'd already faced twice before their meeting in ONE, Tammi Musumeci had to overcome early aggression from ‘Tubby’.
But she eventually found her footing and started to steadily put pressure on her opponent with her solid guard game and leg locks.
Amanda Alequin tried to make a go for a finish late in the contest but had little success.
In the end, it was Tammi Musumeci whose hand was raised in victory.
With back-to-back victories, Musumeci, who is a full-time lawyer, sustained her rise in the promotion, which she hopes would translate to a world title shot down the line.
