Tatiana Suarez assesses previous opponent Alexa Grasso's prospects versus Valentina Shevchenko
Tatiana Suarez, an unbeaten professional fighter with a record of 8-0 and five wins in the UFC, has shared her perspective on Alexa Grasso's upcoming flyweight title bout against UFC women's flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko.
Suarez has defeated Grasso in the past with a first-round submission in 2018. However, she believes Grasso has improved since then and could pose a threat to Shevchenko. After taking a three-year break due to injuries, Suarez is finally making a comeback at UFC Vegas 70, where she will face Montana De La Rosa in the women's flyweight division.
Sportskeeda MMA's Andrew Whitelaw conducted an exclusive interview with Tatiana Suarez, where she opened up about her return to the octagon and shared her thoughts on Grasso's upcoming challenge for the UFC title.
Suarez believes that for Grasso to have any chance of defeating Valentina Shevchenko, she needs to have significantly improved her ground game.
The 125-pounder stated:
"She [Alexa] would have to have improved. Definitely on the ground as Shevchenko likes to get people to the ground with the bodylock, and that bodylock is tight. It will be an interesting fight. She's a really good boxer and presents that problem. I look forward to seeing it and if we meet again, that would be great."
