Thai megastar Superbon could never shake the feeling that he and ONE featherweight Muay Thai world champion Tawanchai PK Saenchai were fated to have at least one more matchup.
Speaking with ONE ahead of their 155-pound Muay Thai world title rematch at ONE 170 on Friday, Jan. 24, the featherweight kickboxing king said:
"I was quite confident there'd be a rematch because the fighters in the same rank and level and Tawanchai and I are rare. There are a few other ones like Jo and the ohers, I think I can defeat those in lower ranks."

Viewed by many as two of the best strikers today, they first crossed paths in the main event of ONE Friday Fights 46 in December 2023 over 26 pounds of featherweight Muay Thai gold.
The world title tilt lived up to the hype as the founder of Superbon Training Camp and the 25-year-old striking sensation battled throughout all five rounds, where Tawanchai gutted out a majority decision victory to defend the crown.
However, the 34-year-old earned the right to challenge Tawanchai once more after handing second-ranked featherweight Muay Thai competitor 'Smokin' Jo Nattawut a knockout in just under two minutes last September.
Superbon shares part of his gameplan for Tawanchai rematch
Superbon surprisingly disclosed part of his strategy ahead of his second shot at Tawanchai and the 155-pound Muay Thai crown in an interview with ONE, saying:
"I think Tawanchai has highlighted his strong points in terms of the damage he can cause. I feel like he's confident about that and the speed of his kicks. Also, his striking distance. I feel like he emphasized on that but he neglects fixing his weaknesses that he has. That means if I can defend myself from his highlighted weapons, I'd be able to win."
ONE 170 will occur inside the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand. The event is available via watch.onefc.com.
