ONE featherweight Muay Thai world champion Tawanchai PK Saenchai was beyond impressed by Superbon's technical mastery of Marat Grigorian in their rematch at ONE Friday Fights 58 last month.

In particular, the 25-year-old PK Saenchai Muay Thai Gym standout reserved praise for his countryman's trademark kicking game, which eventually helped him gain a unanimous decision over the Armenian dynamo to claim the interim ONE featherweight kickboxing world championship strap.

Speaking exclusively to Sportskeeda MMA, Tawanchai shared:

"In that fight, he kept kicking Marat like there was no tomorrow. As a result, Marat did not stand a chance at all."

True enough, Superbon cracked his rival's defense wide open with kicks from the sound of the bell. When the opportunity didn't present itself, he baited the Hemmers Gym warrior with step-in knees and punches to set up his trademark tool.

Though Grigorian threatened to turn things around with his heavy combinations, Superbon stuck to his game plan and relied on his kicking game again to comfortably see off the tie in the championship rounds.

Having secured the interim crown, Superbon will go toe-to-toe with divisional king Chingiz Allazov in a world title unification bout that should get underway by the end of 2024.

Tawanchai duels against Jo Nattawut for the second time at ONE 167

On his end, the generational talent opens his 2024 account in a rematch against Jo Nattawut in the co-main event of ONE 167 on June 7.

Tawanchai picked up a unanimous decision win over the American-based Thai at ONE Fight Night 15 in October last year in a kickboxing duel that many suggest could have gone either way.

With a desire to leave no doubt about his previous win and his ONE featherweight Muay Thai world title on the line inside the Impact Arena, the PK Saenchai Muay Thai Gym megastar vows to give it his all on fight night.

North American fans with an active subscription can watch ONE 167 live and for free via Amazon Prime Video.
