Reigning ONE featherweight Muay Thai world champion Tawanchai PK.Saenchai would love to test his skills against newly crowned ONE featherweight kickboxing titleholder Chingiz Allazov.
The Thai star returns to the circle at ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video on February 24 to defend his title against No. 2 ranked Turkish striker Jamal Yusupov in the evening’s co-main event. Ahead of their Muay Thai war, Tawanchai discussed the possibility of taking on the No. 1 ranked pound-for-pound kickboxer in the world:
“Chingiz is one of the greatest fighters. I like his style a lot. It would be such a great honor if I get a chance to face him one day. It’s tricky to counter him. I’m inferior to him in every way – physique, familiarity of the rules. I’ll have to train kickboxing more if this fight happens.”
Chingiz Allazov shocked the world at ONE Fight Night 6 last month when he delivered a spectacular second-round knockout of all-time great Superbon Singha Mawynn in a long-awaited clash that did not disappoint.

While Allazov’s victory opens up a world of fresh matches atop the featherweight kickboxing division, a champion vs. champion clash is both intriguing and well within the realm of possibility. Would you like to see the two featherweight titles square off inside the circle?

Tawanchai ready to carry his 2022 momentum into 2023 with first ONE world title defense
Tawanchai PK.Saenchai was one of 2022’s most exciting breakout stars. Kicking off the year with a big first-round knockout of Saempetch Fairtex at ONE: Heavy Hitters, the Thai warrior secured his shot at a ONE world title with another fantastic knockout against the always dangerous Niclas Larsen six months later.
He parlayed his back-to-back knockouts into a title fight against then-reigning featherweight champion Petchmorakot Petchyindee at ONE 161 in September. Tawanchai earned a unanimous decision to capture his first ONE world title.
With three-straight victories, a $50,000 bonus, and 26.4 pounds of gold, Tawanchai was riding high by the end of 2022. He’ll attempt to keep that momentum going as he makes his first title defense of 2023 in just a matter of days.
Hoping to dethrone the new ONE world champion is streaking Turkish contender Jamal Yusupov. ‘Yeniceri’ earned his opportunity with victories over Yodsanklai, Samy Sana, and most recently, Jo Nattawut at ONE 159 in July. Undefeated inside the circle, Yusupov will go into the bout with an impressive 54 career victories to his credit.
