The ONE featherweight Muay Thai world champion will defend his belt for the very first time in front of his home fans in Bangkok, Thailand at the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium.
After an impressive year in 2022 where he was awarded ONE Championship’s Muay Thai Fighter of the Year award, Tawanchai is determined that nothing will get in the way of this big moment in his career.
In his pre-event interview ahead of February 24, the defending world champion assured fans that he will make it to fight night ready to compete:

“Yes, this is the second time for me to fight with the featherweight belt on the line. And my weight is nothing to worry about. And also my hydration level is nothing to worry about as well.”
In the co-main event of the evening, the ONE featherweight Muay Thai world championship will be put on the line between Tawanchai and Turkey’s Jamal Yusupov.
As the No.2-ranked contender in the featherweight Muay Thai division, Yusupov has also produced an impressive win streak since signing with ONE Championship, going undefeated through three appearances inside the circle.
Tawanchai can’t wait to step into Lumpinee Boxing Stadium to fight
At ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video, featherweight Muay Thai world champion Tawanchai PK.Saenchai will tick off a few firsts in his career.
Not only will the champion be looking to defend his title for the very first time, he will get to do it in front of his home fans in an iconic venue.
ONE Fight Night 7 on February 24 will take place at the legendary Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
In an interview with ONE Championship, Tawanchai spoke about the opportunity to defend his world title at Lumpinee, a stadium that is synonymous with the greatest competitors to ever test themselves in Muay Thai:
“It’s the nostalgic feeling. Lumpinee is the most respected stadium, which has accommodated the best Muay Thai fighters. There are so many that become well-known after fighting in this stadium.”
ONE Championship has been hosting events at the iconic venue since the start of 2023 with their ONE Friday Fights series. So far, the events have lived up to the status of the arena, producing incredible Muay Thai contests and highlight-reel finishes.
