ONE feathweight Muay Thai world champion Tawanchai PK.Saenchai is about to make his first world title defense at ONE Fight Night 7. Against him will be the streaking Russian striker from Dagestan, Jamal Yusupov.

'Yaniceri', as Yusupov's fans would call him, shocked the world in his ONE debut by knocking out Muay Thai legend Yodsanklai inside two rounds. He then followed it up with two dominant wins over Samy Sana and Jo Nattawut.

Needless to say, Tawanchai PK.Saenchai will have his hands full when he locks horns with the formidable Dagestan-raised warrior. But having fought over 160 times as a pro, Tawanchai has seen it all, including a few big bangers here and there.

In a pre-fight interview for ONE Fight Night 7, Tawanchai was asked what he thinks of his world title challenger. The 23-year-old phenom said:

"The strengths of Jamal [Yusupov] are he's a heavy hitter, and his footwork is excellent. I have already prepared to take care of this, and let's see it in the ring."

There's an air of steely confidence in Tawanchai's words. Still, he maintains his humility. The ONE featherweight Muay Thai world champ did not make any promises, but he did imply that he wouldn't be surprised by anything Yusupov throws.
