Though the world champion is on an incredible run in ONE Championship, so is his opponent, who has earned his shot at the title by producing three wins inside the circle to find himself as the No.2-ranked featherweight contender.

Speaking to ONE Championship about Yusupov, Tawanchai said:

“[Yusupov’s] strength is heavy, strong punches. He hardly has any weaknesses. He’s one of the strongest fighters. You can’t underestimate him in any way.”

Since signing with ONE Championship in 2019, Jamal Yusupov has produced some very impressive performances with three wins over Yodsanklai, Samy Sana and Jo Nattawut.

It was only a matter of time before Yusupov got his shot at the world champion and whilst Tawanchai knows the dangers of fighting an opponent like the Turkish challenger, he is looking forward to facing competitors from all over the world.
