ONE Muay Thai featherweight king Tawanchai thanked his fans, supporters, and opponents following an epic performance at ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video.
The 23-year-old phenom needed less than a minute to make his first title defense, stopping Jamal Yusupov with a vicious leg kick. Tawanchai now owns four knockouts in five victories inside the Circle to this point.
After his victory, the champ took to Instagram to thank his supporters and Jamal Yusupov for his experience at the legendary Lumpinee Boxing Stadium:
"Thank you so much for the biggest support from the home crowd and my team who has been working day in day out to get me to where I am today. For Jamal, it’s been a pleasure fighting against you. Cheer up!"

Tawanchai reveals why he started training Muay Thai
Growing up in Thailand wasn't an easy experience for the striking sensation. He first decided to begin training in Muay Thai at the age of seven to help his family. He told ONE Championship:
“I had a rough childhood. My dad used to live comfortably, but he went bankrupt and had to sell everything. After that, I began to train Muay Thai. I competed for the first time when I was just seven years old, I won by first-round knockout. It was a three-round fight in a bar.”
Since debuting at the Lumpinee Stadium at the age of 14, the P.K. Saenchai Muay Thai affiliate has made a name for himself across multiple weight classes. He signed with ONE in 2020 and has since won a world title and a pair of performance bonuses for his wins over Niclas Larsen and Yusupov.
The champ defeated Petchmorakot Petchyindee Academy by way of a unanimous decision to secure Muay Thai featherweight gold last September.
Luckily, the Muay Thai featherweight division contains a couple of fresh contenders for the champ in addition to Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong, who handed him his only loss inside the Circle to date.
