Tawanchai PK Saenchai voiced his respect for Superbon's strengths ahead of their upcoming Muay Thai rematch.

On January 24, Tawanchai and Superbon will headline ONE 170 with the former's featherweight Muay Thai world title on the line. The world-class strikers first fought in December 2023, with Tawanchai emerging victorious by unanimous decision.

During his ONE 170 media day interview, Tawanchai had this to say about Superbon:

"For his strengths, It’s everything. He is already amazing. He has good kicks, elbows, punches, and knees."

Following his win against Superbon, Tawanchai fought once more in 2024, a unanimous decision win against Jo Nattawut. They were supposed to fight again at the end of the calendar year before Tawanchai pulled out with an injury.

Instead, Nattawut faced Superbon in a Muay Thai bout at ONE Friday Fights 81. Superbon emerged victorious by first-round knockout, leading to his upcoming world title rematch against Tawanchai.

ONE 170 goes down inside the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand. The upcoming event can be seen via watch.onefc.com.

Before Tawanchai vs. Superbon 2, ONE 170 will showcase Fabricio Andrade vs. Kwon Won Il 2 (bantamweight MMA world title co-main event) and Nico Carrillo vs. Nabil Anane (interim bantamweight Muay Thai world title featured bout).

Tawanchai's run in ONE Championship

Tawanchai started his ONE Championship tenure with a third-round knockout against Sean Clancy in May 2021. Three months later, the featherweight Muay Thai world champion suffered his lone promotional defeat, a split decision against Sitthichai.

The Thai superstar bounced back with consecutive knockouts against Samapetch and Niclas Larsen, leading to his title shot against Petchmorakot.

Tawanchai defeated Petchmorakot by unanimous decision in September 2022. At the beginning of 2023, he defended his throne for the first time, a 49-second knockout win against Jamal Yuspov.

The 25-year-old went to kickboxing in 2023 for two fights, defeating Davit Kiria (first-round knockout) and Jo Nattawut (unanimous decision. He's since returned to Muay Thai for two more wins against Superbon and Nattawut.

At ONE 170, Tawanchai looks to further prove he's one of the greatest strikers in ONE Championship history.
