Dana White's Power Slap run on TV network TBS has come to a dead end.
The first season of Power Slap started airing live on TBS earlier this year in January. However, views drastically decreased over time and TBS have decided to end their partnership to air the competition. Warner Media and TBS executives confirmed the news to MMA Fighting earlier this week.
However, Dana White seems to have found the solution to tackle this problem. Like the season finale, the competition is set to air on the video streaming platform Rumble moving forward.
During a recent appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, the UFC president revealed that the future plans for the competition. While suggesting that the second season of the show might be filmed on Fight Island in Abu Dhabi, he said:

"We haven't done the deal yet but we have a term sheet with Rumble for the next two years to deliver two more episodes [seasons] of the reality show, Power Slap and eight live fights. I am working on a deal right now to film season two on Fight Island in Abu Dhabi."

Dana White reveals why Power Slap Finale didn't air on PPV
The Power Slap season one finale was initially rumored to be on pay-per-view. However, it was later shifted to the free-to-watch online video platform Rumble.
While there were many theories speculating why, Dana White himself revealed the real reason behind the finale not being on pay-per-view.
During a pre-match press conference, White admitted that the unfortunate 'slapgate' with his wife during New Year's Eve was one of the reasons for the event not being on pay-per-view:
"We were going through the business plan for this thing, and how we were going to do this and that and everything else. We said maybe we put it on TV and we build this whole social and digital plan around it and then it's a pay-per-view at the end... and let's be honest, I didn't do myself any favors on New Year's Eve."
