It appears Khabib Nurmagomedov's team isn't expecting to see Conor McGregor at the Usman Nurmagomedov vs. Paul Hughes title fight at PFL: Road to Dubai: Champions Series event this weekend. After a member of the UFC legend's team addressed the possibility, fans shared their reaction on social media
The Bellator lightweight champion is set to face Hughes in a highly anticipated title fight in the UAE. Given Hughes' status as one of Ireland's fastest-rising MMA stars, many have compared his rivalry with Usman to that shared by Nurmagomedov and McGregor. Unsurprisingly, many have wondered about 'The Notorious' potentially showing at the event.
In a recent interview with Red Corner MMA, Rizvan Magomedov, who works closely with team Nurmagomedov, dismissed the possibility. When asked about it, he said:
"No... He doesn't have the courage."

When Conor McGregor vowed to jump in Paul Hughes' corner against team Nurmagomedov "if it kicks off"
Last October, Conor McGregor expressed an interest in reigniting his feud with Khabib Nurmagomedov and the Nurmagomedov clan. The former two-division UFC champion sent Paul Hughes a message of encouragement before his title fight against Usman.
In a now-deleted X post, McGregor reacted to Hughes claiming that he'd love to have 'The Notorious' in his corner. The Irishman wrote:
"Paul, my man, I will go to the arena and support 100% for sure, and if it kicks off I'll be in there before you could even say, 'The Nurmagomedovs are juice head in**ed rats married to their cousins.' Your team and corner have done a tremendous job with you! They will take you all the way! You've got this! We are with you, brother; bring home the Gold!"
