UFC couple Tecia Torres and Raquel Pennington recently announced that they are having a baby via Instagram. The news fell on the same day as Thanksgiving Day, meaning that the couple had something extra to feel grateful for this year.
The baby will be born in June of 2023, according to Pennington's social media post. It appears that Torress undertook an IVF procedure in order to have a child with Pennington, according to the hashtags on Pennington's post:
"We have an extra turkey in the oven this year. Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours. Baby Pennington June 2023."

An IVF procedure involves fertilizing a woman's egg with a sperm cell 'in vitro', meaning in a laboratory environment. An ova is removed from a woman's ovaries, and sperm is then used to fertilize the egg.
Naturally, for a gay couple, the next course of action if the couple does not wish to adopt a baby is an IVF procedure. Tecia Torres and Raquel Pennington have been in a relationship for seven years now, and Torres has adopted the surname of Pennington based on her Instagram.
Tecia Torres speaks on controversial loss to Mackenzie Dern at UFC 273 - "9/10 people said I won"
Tecia Torres last fought against Mackenzie Dern at UFC 273 in April 2022. 'The Tiny Tornado' lost the bout via a split decision in a close fight.
Dern won round two after multiple close submission attempts, but rounds 1 and 3 were incredibly tough to score. Torres stated directly after the fight that she felt as though she had done enough to win the contest.
'The Tiny Tornado' spoke to MMA journalist Ryan Quin at the end of August after taking time to reflect on the fight. Tecia Torres hasn't changed her opinion on the judges' decision:
"9/10 poeple thought I won the fight. Everyone I spoke to told me I won the fight. But seeing online, every single score of the media-people had me winning. I thought I'd won, I've been in this game for a long time. Yes I know leaving it to the judges is hard, but I clearly thought I won round 1 and 3."
