The Teofimo Lopez vs. Steve Claggett bout is set to take place next weekend on June 29. The card, which is being promoted by Top Rank and co-promoted by Eye of the Tiger, will take place at the James L. Knight Center in Miami, Florida. It will also be available for streaming on ESPN+.

The card is scheduled to start at 9:00 PM E.T. (Eastern Time) / 6:00 PM P.T. (Pacific Time), while the main event walkouts are estimated for 11:00 PM E.T. / 8:00 PM P.T. That, however, is subject to change depending on the results of the fights preceeding the main event.

The card will be headlined by Lopez (20-1), who defends his WBO super lightweight belt against the streaking Claggett (38-7-2).

The co-headliner will see Robeisy Ramirez take on Brandon Benitez at featherweight. Below them, Sona Akale faces the grandson of legendary boxer Muhammad Ali, Nico Ali Walsh, in a middleweight rematch. The pair's first meeting, which went down on Aug. 26, 2023, saw Akale hand Walsh his first-ever loss via majority decision.

Elsewhere, the undefeated Yan Santana takes on Brandon Valdes at featherweight. Before their outing, another unbeaten Dominican boxer puts his spotless record on the line, as Rohan Polanco faces the more experienced Luis Hernandez at welterweight.

The rest of the card consists of two middleweight bouts in Euri Cedeno vs. Dormedes Potes and Bryan Polaco vs. Richard Acevedo, a welterweight scrap between Elvis Rodriguez and Jino Rodrigo, and a heavyweight banger pitting Lorenzo Medina against Teddy Webster.

Were there any cancelations on the Teofimo Lopez vs. Steve Claggett card?

Teofimo Lopez vs. Steve Claggett has been fortunate enough to have only one cancellation. Undefeated heavyweight Lorenzo Medina was initially scheduled to fight the unremarkable Colby Madison. Unfortunately, the latter withdrew from the matchup.

He has been replaced by Teddy Webster, who will step in on short-notice to lock horns with Medina. This, however, is unlikely to change things for Medina, as Webster himself is an aging boxer with a poor record. As a result, he remains the clear favorite despite the last-minute change.
