Terence Crawford recently offered his thoughts on Ryan Garcia's string of bizarre controversies on episode #423 of the IMPAULSIVE podcast. Garcia has been spiraling on and off social media for some time, with his behavior growing more erratic and unhinged each time he's in the news cycle.
Given that 'Bud' and Garcia are two of the highest-profile boxers in the sport, the former was asked if he has ever reached out to Garcia to give him advice or lend some other form of assistance. This, though, was not something Crawford felt was his responsibility.
"Nah, not really. I don't have a relationship with him like that. So, that's not my place. That's the guys that surround him. For you to call yourself a friend, a brother, a cousin, to watch a man like that self-destruct, what type of friend are you? Anything that I do that's going to challenge me to anything negative or lead me down the wrong path, there's not one person in my camp right now that wouldn't grab me and be like, 'Hey, you ain't doing that.'"

Not only has 'KingRy' courted more controversy due to a recent racist and Islamophobic rant that led to his expulsion from the WBC, but he is also serving a one-year suspension due to a positive test for ostarine, a banned substance.
Amid his frequent social media tirades and unhinged rants, there's no telling what will come next for Garcia the longer he refuses to address his behavior.
Terence Crawford hopes to fight Ryan Garcia's acquaintance, Canelo Álvarez
Terence Crawford is currently scheduled to challenge Israil Madrimov for the latter's WBA super welterweight title tomorrow. However, he has expressed a serious interest in taking on the great Canelo Álvarez at some point. The Mexican icon once served as something of a mentor to Ryan Garcia.
"Where I'm at right now, I'm looking at the fight that makes the most sense, and that's not 'Boots' Ennis. Canelo is going to bring way more to my legacy, way more to my bank account."
Unfortunately, the pair had a falling out of sorts due to Garcia's apparent prioritization of social media over boxing and alleged lack of coachability. The two have since patched things up, with Álvarez wishing him well.
