Algerian fighter Elias Mahmoudi dismantled veteran Denis Puric in their explosive match last week in Thailand, but when the battle smoke cleared, he was all respect and love to his fallen opponent.
'The Sniper' battled the 'Bosnian Menace' in three epic rounds at ONE Fight Night 26: Lee vs. Rasulov on Dec. 6 at the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, which ended in a ferocious finish, with Mahmoudi scoring a knockout with two seconds remaining in the match.
While they went all out in the contest, following the contest it was all well between the two. They even shared a table together as they took their post-fight meals.
ONE Championship shared the bonding the protagonists had after ONE Fight Night 26 in an Instagram post found below.

Elias Mahmoudi took to the comments section to thank Puric for a great fight and expressed his respect to his "big brother."
He wrote:
"@bosnian_menace Thank you big brother, it was an honor to cross the ring with you, you are a legend. ❤️🤲🏻"
The win at ONE Fight Night 26 was the third straight for Elias Mahmoudi, solidifying his bid for a shot at the currently vacant ONE flyweight Muay Thai world title.

Elias Mahmoudi calls out Rodtang following win at ONE Fight Night 26
Elias Mahmoudi is now training his sights on a possible showdown with former flyweight king Rodtang Jitmuangnon after his impressive knockout victory at ONE Fight Night 26 on Dec. 6. He believes now is great opportunity to face 'The Iron Man' and test himself against the best in the game.
He highlighted this in the post-fight interview after his KO win over Denis Puric last week, calling out Rodtang by saying:
"I want Rodtang. He's number one now, he's a big star, a big fighter in the world. He had a very close fight with Puric, I beat Puric with a knockout in the last round. So I think I can [put on] a very good show with Rodtang, what do you think? Let's go!"
Rodtang was stripped of the ONE flyweight Muay Thai world title in his last title defense in November for missing weight. He still won the match over Englishman Jacob Smith but was not eligible to win it back as part of his penalty. He is now being primed to face Japanese legend Takeru Segawa in a long-planned kickboxing superfight next year.
