UFC lightweight contender Renato Moicano emerged to be the biggest victor at UFC Paris on Sept. 28. But that does not mean that the Brazilian left his five-round main event clash against Benoit Saint Denis unscathed.
MMA journalist Kevin Iole recently shared X-ray pictures showing how Moicano suffered a gruesome shoulder injury in the second round of the fight.

The injury caught the attention of multiple MMA enthusiasts who shared their their thoughts on social media.
One MMA fan managed to notice the injury mid-fight and posted about it on X:
"What's up with Renato Moicano shoulder just sticking out? That s**t looked f**ked up like T.J. Dillashaw's s**t."
Another person took this opportunity to shower praise on Moicano for his grit:
"This is ABSURD toughness. WOW."
One user discussed how the injury might put Moicano on the sidelines for a while and thus, it would be a good idea to match him up against Paddy Pimblett for the next season of 'The Ultimate Fighter':
"Brutal. Surely, he'll be out for a while so they should definitely do him vs. Paddy TUF season. Gives him time to recover and builds the fight perfectly."

Moicano also responded to Iole's post by shedding light on the injury. The 35-year-old shared that he had injured his shoulder three weeks before UFC Paris but decided not to withdraw from the fight:
"I hurt my shoulder three weeks ago... but I couldn't pull out of a main event... thank you my team for helping me training like that [to] get me ready for the fight."
Moicano went on to score a TKO victory by doctor stoppage after the end of the second round.
