Alex Pereira's sister has been making waves with her latest victory in the combat sports realm. In her professional full-contact karate debut, Aline Pereira recently secured a thunderous KO with a left hook, a punch considered to be her brother's best strike. Fans soon chimed in with their reactions.

Alex is a former Glory kickboxing middleweight and light heavyweight champion, a former UFC middleweight champion, and the reigning UFC light heavyweight champion. The 34-year-old Aline Pereira is a kickboxer and MMA fighter. She too competed in Glory, notably challenging kickboxing great Tiffany van Soest for the Glory super bantamweight title in 2021.

Aline's most recent fight was a karate match at Karate Combat 50, which transpired at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, U.S.A., on Oct. 11, 2024. She faced combat sports megastar Conor McGregor's teammate, Dee Begley.

Their 125-pound bout was shifted to a 130-pound catchweight before the weigh-ins after a request from Begley's team, but she missed the catchweight limit as well, coming in at 134 pounds.

Ultimately, Aline fought Begley at 134-pound catchweight. The Brazilian combatant caught Begley with a right straight/cross followed by a left hook that knocked her down. Ensuing ground strikes prompted the referee to wave the fight off, giving Aline the first-round KO win.

Fight fans subsequently weighed in on the same, with many suggesting that Aline Pereira genetically shares the extraordinary left hook with her older brother Alex Pereira. Responding to the aforementioned tweet featuring the stoppage, one X user wrote:

"Signature left hook runs in the family! Take a bow!"

One observer also praised the right hand that preceded the left hook:

"God damn that's beautiful! Piston straight right and a left hook sliding back. The Pereira bloodline is strooong"

Another fan opined Aline likely feels the pressure of living up to the standards set by Alex Pereira:

"She probably feels a lot of pressure being Alex sis"

One commenter opined that Aline should be in the UFC:

"Get her in the ufc now"

Aline Pereira hails Alex Pereira for teaching her the left hook

Alex Pereira (12-2 MMA, 33-7 kickboxing) notched the third successful defense of his UFC light heavyweight championship earlier this month, besting Khalil Rountree Jr. via fourth-round TKO at UFC 307. 'Poatan' is likely to defend his title against longtime rival Magomed Ankalaev next, provided Ankalaev beats Aleksandar Rakic later this month.

Aline Pereira (1-2 MMA, 6-2 kickboxing), whose most recent MMA fight was a unanimous decision defeat in 2023, took her Karate Combat record to 1-0 with her victory at KC 50. Speaking via her translator during her post-fight interview, Aline indicated that she learned the famed left hook from her brother:

"That's the Pereira left hook. My big brother's the one that showed me."
