Stamp Fairtex is closely monitoring the rest of the women’s atomweight division.
Stamp is the number one contender in the division, but her head is on a swivel as other contenders start to catch up. At ONE on Prime Video 5 in December, number three-ranked Denice Zamboanga secured a split-decision win against Lin Heqin.
During an interview with SCMP MMA, the Fairtex fighter was asked about the atomweight matchup and responded by saying:
“I think that it was a very close match between Lin and Denice. Denice definitely has some opportunity. Lin Heqin [also had an opportunity] to take down Denice but that’s a missed opportunity that she didn’t really get. For me, that was a really close match.”

The 25-year-old has never fought Zamboanga, but they could find themselves in a number one contender fight in 2023. In March 2022, Fairtex lost to the ONE women’s atomweight world champion Angela Lee before bouncing back against Jihin Radzuan.
With No.2 ranked Ham Seo Hee certainly having a strong case to get the next world title shot against Lee, ONE Championship could put Stamp and ‘The Menace’ on a collision course to determine the rightful next challenger.

Stamp Fairtex is focused on closing the distance against Anissa Meksen
Before focusing on an atomweight title shot, Stamp Fairtex has a tough test at ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video. The ONE Women’s Atomweight World Grand Prix champion is taking on 7x Kickboxing and Muay Thai world champion Anissa Meksen. It will be mixed rules bout alternating between MMA and Muay Thai rules.
During the same interview with SCMP MMA, Stamp had this to say about her gameplan:
“I’m planning to do the clinch and be really close to her because she’s [Anissa] is very good at striking. I would try to stay as close as possible and also use a lot of knees.”
Since making her ONE debut in 2018, Stamp has competed in three different disciplines. The 25-year-old has a promotional record of 9-2 in MMA, 2-1 in Muay Thai, and 1-1 in Kickboxing.
She is also a former ONE atomweight Muay Thai and Kickboxing world champion to go with her ONE Women’s Atomweight World Grand Prix championship. Beating Meksen at ONE Fight Night 6 would be another feather in her cap.
