Fabricio Andrade sets out on a personal mission when he defends his throne against Kwon Won Il.
The reigning ONE bantamweight MMA world champion will defend his place atop the division when he faces Kwon at the stacked ONE 170 card on Jan. 24, 2025, at Impact Arena.
Taking to Instagram, Andrade revealed he's determined to not just knock Kwon out, but send the brash challenger to the shadow realm with his improved boxing.
Andrade has been working on his hands with Tiger Muay Thai boxing head coach John Hutchinson in his training camp in Phuket, Thailand.

For those unfamiliar, Hutchinson is the head trainer of ONE middleweight and light heavyweight MMA world champion Anatoly Malykhin.
Fabricio Andrade said:
"He’s been a part of my camp to keep me working on my hands and gain more power. I hopefully gain more power with my hands. It’s something that I don’t have, a [one-shot] knockout with my hands, so that’s something that I want to do in my career."
Andrade has always been one of the most lethal strikers in MMA. He holds a perfect 6-0 (1 no-contest) record in his MMA matches under ONE Championship.
The Brazilian knockout machine has two one-shot knockouts in his ONE Championship tenure, but none have come from his boxing.
Andrade has a soul-snatching knockout against Jeremy Pacatiw when he folded the Filipino slugger with a piercing knee to the body in their matchup at ONE: Full Circle.
'Wonder Boy' then followed that up with another body shot finish when he snatched Kwon's soul with a terrifying roundhouse to the midsection at ONE 158.
Kwon Won Il says Fabricio Andrade is the better striker between them
Kwon Won Il has built a brand of talking mad trash talk about his opponents, but he's also one to show respect when he deems fit.
Ahead of his world title challenge against Fabricio Andrade, Kwon said the ONE bantamweight MMA world champion holds a distinct advantage over him.
Kwon told Anything Goes in an interview that Andrade is a better pure striker than him.
"I also have got to admit, he's a bit of a better striker than me. If you just talk about pure striking. You know, I have to give him that."
