Dante Leon's two-minute submission victory over Bruno Pucci was the culmination of a lifetime's worth of work in the gym.

After establishing himself as one of the best BJJ practitioners on the planet, Leon made his highly anticipated promotional debut at ONE Fight Night 26 inside the legendary Lumpinee Stadium. There, Leon landed a quick-fire finish against MMA standout Bruno Pucci — the husband of former ONE atomweight queen Angela Lee.

Securing the tap out with a slick arm triangle at the 2:01 mark, Leon established himself as a legitimate contender in ONE's ever-growing submission grappling division.

Speaking at the ONE Fight Night 26 post-fight press conference, Leon was excited to see all his hard work and dedication pay off via a statement-making victory on martial arts' biggest global stage. He said:

"It's hard to put into words how exciting that was, you know. It was two and a half minutes about out there of a performance, which I thought I had a great performance, but that's a lifetime of work, and I did my best in two and a half minutes to show my prowess and my technical ability."

Dante Leon felt 'spoiled' during his first trip to Thailand

Though it was only his first appearance in ONE Championship, Dante Leon already feels at home with the global leader in combat sports.

Offering some insight into his first time visiting Thailand and working with the promotion, Leon told Mitch Chilson immediately following his match:

"I never had anything like that, man. That just hit me like a ton of bricks. What is there to say? Thank you, thank you to ONE. ONE has made me feel spoiled on this trip. Thailand is making me feel spoiled. Bangkok has been a home away from home for the whole week."

With two IBJJF world championships to his credit and a massive win in his ONE debut, it's safe to say that the sky is the limit for the 28-year-old Canadian sensation.
