ONE bantamweight Muay Thai and kickboxing world champion Jonathan Haggerty has every strike imaginable in his amazing repertoire.

But before he became the megastar that he is today, 'The General' first rose to prominence with his ferocious downward elbows that spelled Joseph Lasiri's demise.

Haggerty introduced himself to the home of martial arts back in 2019, where he took on 'The Hurricane' at ONE: Eternal Glory.

While the fighting Brit was sensational across three rounds, it was his brilliant use of those slicing tomahawk weapons that piqued the public's interest.

In a clip called "Retrospect with Jonathan Haggerty" on YouTube, the double champion recalled his magnificent ONE debut.

"I was just getting into the fight for the first round, and he caught me with a few good shots, which I didn't expect. He busted my nose, and I couldn't breathe out my nose for this fight."

Haggerty then turned the tides using his spear-like weapons of mass destruction that floored Lasiri. He continued:

"So he gave me a great fight. And there's the iconic downward elbow. I think that elbow was the one that put me on the map. That's the one, the move that everyone loves."

American fans would love to see Jonathan Haggerty's elbows against Superlek

Jonathan Haggerty has a chance to even the score with tormentor Superlek Kiatmoo9 in the promotion's massive return to US soil.

The English warrior will defend his bantamweight Muay Thai crown against 'The Kicking Machine' on September 6 at Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado.

Haggerty certainly wants redemption and can't wait to make a statement in arguably the biggest striking showdown of the year.

'The General' told Sky Sports:

"Now I've got the experience, I've got both the belts and I believe I will stop him. I will beat him for sure."
