"That's a sick matchup" - Demetrious Johnson raves about star-studded ONE Championship flagship events this year

Mixed martial arts GOAT contender and reigning ONE flyweight MMA world champion 'Mighty Mouse' Demetrious Johnson of the United States is who many consider the most skilled fighter in the world today.

But when he's not ruling the lowlands atop his high perch in the MMA heavens, Johnson is an avid fan of all things combat sports. So when ONE Championship announced some big fights on the horizon, naturally, 'Mighty Mouse' was excited.

Speaking on a recent guest appearance on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani, Johnson talked about some matchups he was particularly looking forward to seeing.

'Mighty Mouse' said:

"When I went on this journey to cover MMA, not just MMA, but sports in general, fighting, I only cover the sports that I wake up to and that's a sick fight. That's a sick matchup. Not just UFC, but ONE Championship too."

Johnson has recently taken to his 'Mighty' YouTube channel to break down and analyze the biggest fights in combat sports, and fans have certainly enjoyed his expert analysis.

MMA legend 'Mighty Mouse' Demetrious Johnson is particularly hyped up about a plethora of bangers already announced by ONE Championship.

He added:

"You've got Jonathan Haggerty taking on Superlek. They just made another matchup, Mikey Musumeci taking on Gabriel Sousa."

ONE 167: Stamp vs. Zamboanga on Prime Video happens on June 7th and is free of charge for all viewers in the United States and Canada with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription.

ONE 168 will take place at the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado in September. Following that, ONE 170 is set for the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia in November.
