"That’s your teammate wtf"- Fans trash Arman Tsarukyan as he flips stance on Dustin Poirier from admiration to scathing criticism after UFC 302

Arman Tsarukyan and Dustin Poirier are teammates at American Top Team (ATT) in Florida. Tsarukyan, who is set to lock horns with lightweight king Islam Makhachev at UFC 311, gave his views on Poirier’s last fight against Makhachev in 2024.

Even after a fantastic fight and an improvement in his ground game, 'The Diamond', who met Makhachev in the main event of UFC 302, was submitted by the Dagestani champion via D'Arce choke in round five.

'Ahalkalakets', who gave his views on the bout as mentioned above to Outside MMA on YT, commented on his ATT teammate's performance, criticizing the American fighter, saying:

"The first round went to Makhachev and I thought, 'Damn, this Poirier is a complete sack...' There were two-and-a-half minutes left. Why are you giving up your neck? There are two-and-a-half minutes left, this is the most important and last fight in your life."

Islam Makhachev will defend his title in a rematch at UFC 311 against top contender Arman Tsarukyan. Dustin Poirier, who lost to Makhachev in his most recent bout, believes the Dagestani phenom's evolved skill set will help him retain his belt.

During a live show hosted by ESPN MMA, a fan asked 'The Diamond' for his views on the impending showdown and who he favors. Poirier replied to the fan and stated:

"I think Islam’s striking has really evolved. He has made leaps and bounds with the striking. Arman is going to have a tough time taking him down so I think the fight will be on the feet till Islam decides to take him down... Obviously the grappling, probably Islam, so that is who I would pick.”
