Following his three-round demolition of Halil Amir at ONE Fight Night 26 last Friday, Dec. 6, Gasanov hinted in an interview with the Bangkok Post that fans could see him fight former featherweight and lightweight MMA king Martin Nguyen at ONE 171: Qatar on Feb. 20, 2025, inside the Lusail Sports Arena.

When asked about potentially fighting inside the cage again, Gasanov had this to say:

"I'm very excited to be back in the cage. I feel like that's my territory, that's where I'm comfortable, and I'm excited to show you what I've got in the cage."

The world's largest martial arts promotion has yet to confirm a clash between Gasanov and third-ranked featherweight MMA contender Martin Nguyen for ONE 171.

Should it be made official, it will mark Gasanov's first bout inside the circle since submitting Kim Jae Woong in his October 2022 promotional debut.

Fans in the United States and Canada with an active Prime Video subscription can relive Gasanov's win over Amir and all of the action from ONE Fight Night 26 on demand.
