Raul Rosas Jr. last entered the octagon in June as he defeated Ricky Turcios via second-round submission at UFC on ESPN 57. The rising bantamweight prospect will make his return this weekend when he faces Aori Qileng on the early preliminary card of UFC 306. In a recent interview with Brett Okamoto, he revealed plans for his mixed martial arts career, which include retiring at the young age of 25.

Home of Fight shared his comments on X, tweeting:

"🚨 Raul Rosas Jr. plans to win the bantamweight title vs. Umar Nurmagomedov and defend it multiple times before finally retiring at aged 25. [via @espnmma ]".

Fans had mixed reactions to the comments from Rosas Jr., who is just 19 years old. @IONEVEVNKNOW claimed that it is a terrible plan:

"Thats the dumbest sh*t I’ve ever heard"

@BlockPicksGG believes that Rosas Jr.'s plan is smart:

"I know y'all are gonna hate on this kid but that's actually quite smart if he's able to pull it off. If he can make enough money and fame by the age of 25, no point getting hit in the head for a living after that."

"Anyone who already dislikes the sport enough at 19 to want to be done at 25 isn’t going to have that level of success"

Raul Rosas Jr. claims he is ready to begin journey to title

Raul Rosas Jr. made his UFC debut at UFC 282 in December 2022, defeating Jay Perrin via first-round submission. 'El Nino Problema' will look to improve to 4-1 in the promotion when he faces Aori Qileng at UFC 306 this weekend. As per UFC, he recently revealed that he is ready to begin his journey to capturing a UFC title, stating:

"I'm ready to begin my journey for the belt. Give me a chance to fight somebody that's going to put me up there faster. That's what I want. I want a chance."
