The Noche UFC 306 promotion has largely revolved around The Sphere and the unique experience it will offer. The event commemorates the Mexican Independence Day and takes place on Sept. 14. It will have several unique features designed to elevate the fan experience and make it a memorable milestone in the promotion's history. However, that seems to have failed to impress UFC fans.
In a recent post on X, MMA journalist Ariel Helwani highlighted the record-breaking facts about the event. Some of these include:
"This will be the first 1080p TV broadcast of a UFC event in ESPN history."
First time UFC has ever used haptic seats during an event. Haptic seats provide force feedback based on the action in the Octagon."

"First time at a UFC event that fans in attendance can listen to live audio for the whole event in Spanish."

Bantamweight champion Sean O'Malley will attempt the second defense of his title against Merab Dvalishvili in the Noche UFC 306 main event. It will be co-headlined by the trilogy fight between women's flyweight champion Alexa Grasso and her predecessor Valentina Shevchenko.
Recently, it was estimated that the production cost for the event went upward of $20 million. The UFC could not sell the tickets because of the high price tag attached to them and reports claimed that several thousand tickets were available less than two weeks before the event.
In light of these developments, the UFC has decided to reduce ticket prices. Dana White, who predicted the live gate to be in the $25 million range, has reduced the estimates to approximately $21 million.
