Jarred Brooks is confident that his elite wrestling skills will be what ultimately sets him on the path toward bringing another ONE world championship home to the United States.
Having already climbed to the strawweight MMA mountain on martial arts' biggest global stage, 'The Monkey God' will have the opportunity to do it yet again on Friday, August 2 when he steps back inside the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok for an interim strawweight MMA world championship clash.
Standing across from him at ONE Fight Night 24 on Prime Video will be streaking Cuban standout Gustavo Balart, who will be seeking his first ONE world title victory.

As was the case with his world title-winning performance against Joshua Pacio at ONE 164 in Manilla, Jarred Brooks believes wrestling will ultimately be his key to victory against his 37-year-old opponent.
“My wrestling will definitely be the base that’ll set me up for the win," Brooks told ONE Championship. "It always is. But I definitely want to bring and show something different in this fight.”
Just because Jarred Brooks plans on putting his wrestling attack on display at ONE Fight Night 24 doesn't mean that's all he intends to do against the well-rounded Cuban fan favorite.
“I’m looking forward to showing everybody in the world that I can knock somebody out cold,” Brooks added.
With his last recorded knockout coming on the regional scene eight years ago, Brooks is not necessarily known for his knockout prowess, but one thing is for certain—when 'The Monkey God' makes a goal for himself, nothing will stop him from achieving it.
Will Brooks claim his second ONE world championship, or will Gustavo Balart shock the world and score the biggest win of his combat sports career thus far?
ONE Championship fans in the United States and Canada can watch ONE Fight Night 24 live and for free via Amazon Prime Video in U.S. primetime on Friday, August 2.
