Johan Ghazali explained his decision to train at Superbon Traning Camp.
At 18 years old, Ghazali has showcased the potential to become one of the biggest Muay Thai superstars on the planet. The Malaysian-American has continued pursuing his dreams by moving to Thailand and training at the gym created by Superbon, a former ONE featherweight kickboxing world champion.
During an interview with ONE, Ghazali was asked why he switched to Superbon Training Camp. The flyweight Muay Thai prospect responded by saying:
"Obviously, now that the level I’m fighting at is getting higher, I need to improve my skills. I knew that the best decision I could make for my career was to move to Thailand and train alongside the best."

Johan Ghazali looks to showcase improvements at ONE 170
On Friday, January 24, Johan Ghazali will be featured on the stacked ONE 170 fight card. The 18-year-old is scheduled to face fellow flyweight Muay Thai prospect Johan Estupinan, who's looking for his signature promotional win.
Estupinan holds a record of 4-0 in ONE Championship, including three wins by knockout. The undefeated Columbian striker most recently defeated Zakaria El Jamari with a second-round finish in October 2024.
Estupinan has been somewhat overlooked in the division compared to Ghazali. Meanwhile, Jojo continues to showcase his evolution every time he fights, making this upcoming matchup even more intriguing.
ONE 170 will take place inside the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand. Friday's event featuring three world title fights can be seen via watch.onefc.com.
Following Ghazali vs. Estupinan, ONE 170 will showcase Nico Carrillo vs. Nabil Anane (interim bantamweight Muay Thai world title featured bout), Fabricio Andrade vs. Kwon Won Il 2 (bantamweight MMA world title co-main event), Tawanchai vs. Superbon 2 (featherweight Muay Thai main event), and more.
