ONE Championship recently shared its "best of" collection from last year to usher in 2025, including the standout submission victories featuring submission grappling champions Kade and Tye Ruotolo and veteran Japanese fighter Ayaka Miura.
The promotion took to its official Instagram profile to share a carousel of videos of top submission performances from 2024 and asked fans for their thoughts and their pick for the best in the pack.
Short-listed as among the best were those of the Ruotolos who defeated their respective opponents at ONE Fight Night 21 in April by way of their unique arm-in choke they dubbed "Ruotolotine."
Kade Ruotolo, the reigning lightweight submission world champion, put the pressure and finished Brazilain Francisco Lo midway into their 10-round catchweight (180 pounds) joust. He was then followed by his twin brother Tye, who successfully defended the welterweight grappling gold against Australian Izaak Michell also at the midpoint of their title showdown.

Miura, meanwhile, was spotlighted for her trademark choke hold (Ayaka Lock) she executed against Macarena Aragon of Argentina at ONE 169 in November.
Rounding out the list was Brazilian Victoria Souza's guillotine choke of Itsuki Hirata in the opening round of their atomweight MMA clash at ONE 167 in June.
