UFC CEO Dana White's recent comments on Michael Chandler has evoked reactions from several MMA fans on social media. White recently made an appearance on The Jim Rome Show, where he spoke about the cancellation of Conor McGregor's comeback fight against Chandler.
When asked about Chandler's future, White claimed that 'Iron' is still interested in waiting until McGregor is available to compete, but went on to add that the UFC would be willing to give him a fight in the meantime, if he so desires. He said:
"I think poor Chandler wants to wait for Conor McGregor, man. Whatever he wants to do, if he wants to fight this summer, we'll do whatever he wants. He's one of the greatest athletes I've ever worked with. He's a good human being and I like him a lot. Whatever he wants to do, we'll figure it out for him."

MMA fans took notice of White's statement and shared their reactions on social media.
One fan believed White's statement to be disrepectful towards 'Iron,' saying:
"Hahaha f**k the disrespect is real."
Another individual argued that if Chandler gets pay-per-view points for fighting McGregor, then the wait would be worth it. They wrote:
"You want to fight the least amount of times you can for as much as you can in the business. If he gets pay-per-view shares on this, that alone is worth several fight agaisnt anyone else for him financially."
Another user advised Chandler to move on from the McGregor fight, saying:
"[Michael Chandler] needs to move on, man."
