Poca rose to fame through social media after an act of bravery in Sao Paulo, when she beat up an Uber driver that was assaulting two women in the streets of Sao Paulo in 2019. This viral moment transformed her into a fitness influencer and led her to pursue boxing seriously.

As for Pereira, the Brazilian recently secured a fourth-round TKO victory over Khalil Rountree Jr. at UFC 307. With this win, Pereira improved his record to 5-0 in the UFC light heavyweight division.

Alex Pereira dismisses the idea of a potential clash against Jake Paul

Alex Pereira recently dismissed the prospect of a boxing match against Jake Paul, claiming that his focus remains on defending his title rather than entertaining challenges from the YouTuber-turned-boxer.

In the aftermath of his victory over Mike Perry, Paul seized the opportunity to call out Pereira for a boxing match. He has consistently expressed confidence in his ability to defeat Pereira, emphasizing the differences between mixed martial arts and boxing. Nevertheless, 'Poatan' remains uninterested in diverting his attention from the UFC.

Speaking in a recent interview on The Ariel Helwani Show, Pereira said:

“I’m going to be honest, of course, boxing interests me. But he knows that I’m under contract to the UFC and I can’t just leave. I think that’s why he calls [me out] and says all of that. I think if the UFC was a league that allowed everyone to fight everywhere, he wouldn’t be saying that."
