Superlek Kiatmoo9's coronation as ONE Championship's newest double-world champion was far more than a sporting moment.
The Thai megastar entered the main event of ONE 168: Denver with the ONE flyweight kickboxing world title, and he left Denver with two golden belts when he knocked Jonathan Haggerty out for the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world championship.
This past weekend saw Superlek reach another tier of world title success, and he believes the molten hot crowd inside Ball Arena made his latest win mean more on a personal level.
Taking to Instagram, Superlek said the love he felt from the sold-out crowd inside the Denver Nuggets' home stadium gave him a boost of confidence that would be hard to match.

The now reigning ONE flyweight kickboxing and bantamweight Muay Thai world champion wrote:
"Thank you for all the cheers, thank you for all the encouragement, thank you all. This is the fight that I was most excited to fight in the past because of the great reception of the fans. 🇺🇸🙏😍"
Superlek shared behind-the-scenes photos where fans tried to swarm him when he entered the backstage area following his 49-second knockout of Haggerty in the headlining match of ONE 168.
Although fans expected an absolute firefight between the two world champions, Superlek decided he wanted an early night and finished Haggerty in less than a minute with a perfect elbow counter.
Superlek perfectly read Haggerty's two-step set-up and launched a nuclear elbow counter that effectively put the British superstar away.
Despite the loss to Superlek, Haggerty still holds the ONE bantamweight kickboxing world title.
Superlek says he has yet to reach peak form despite knocking Jonathan Haggerty out in Denver
While some fans see Superlek as the epitome of a perfect striker, especially after his sub-minute win knockout win over Jonathan Haggerty, the man himself doesn't seem to believe so.
In an interview with Nick Atkin, the 28-year-old Thai superstar said he's far from reaching his peak form.
"I don't think I'm quite there yet. I think that I still have ways to go in terms of getting used to the rule set of ONE, fighting with an exciting style to really bring my style of Muay Thai to the rest of the world."
Superlek is the second fighter in ONE Championship to be a two-sport and two-division world champion.
Roman Kryklia was the first one to capture status, and he currently holds the ONE light heavyweight kickboxing and heavyweight Muay Thai world championships.
