Fans reacted to Conor McGregor's recent social media post featuring Santa Claus visiting the special needs class at the Crumlin Boxing Club. The Irishman has been embroiled in controversy following a recent court ruling, in which he was found liable for a sexual assault that allegedly occurred in December 2018. Despite this, fan reactions to his post indicate that the 36-year-old still maintains a strong following among fight enthusiasts.

McGregor shared a video on X showing Santa Claus at his old gym. The caption read:

“Santa Claus is comin’ to town!” Santa visit to our special needs classes at Crumlin Boxing Club with Cllr Sutcliffe in attendance to ring the bell! Good fun for all! Followed then by a special visit to the Black Forge for lunch and a few pints. Thank you Santa Claus! Happy Christmas to you and yours and next year with a rise of the phoenix! Stay safe, stay focused."

Conor McGregor's social media post gives fans hope about his return to MMA competition

Conor McGregor has not competed professionally since suffering a severe leg break during his trilogy fight against Dustin Poirier in July 2021. He was expected to make a comeback against Michael Chandler at UFC 303 in June. However, a toe injury forced him to pull out.

While there has been no formal announcement of his return, McGregor's recent social media post led fans to speculate that he might be preparing for a fight. The Irishman shared a video of him training in Jiu-jitsu. He wrote at the end of the caption:

"Training is going great out here guys, hoping for some good news to break, God willing! Thank you for the support."
