“The guy is not the biggest fight” - ‘Reug Reug’ isn’t riding on Anatoly Malykhin hype train

'Reug Reug' Oumar Kane (left) is not fazed with Anatoly Malykhin's hype.

Oumar 'Reug Reug' Kane does not think that his next opponent, the triple-division ONE world champion Anatoly Malykhin, is that big of a fight.

The Senegalese star mentioned this after winning convincingly via knockout in the first round of his kickboxing bout with Boucher Ketchup, a last minute match added into ONE Fight Night 23 card at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand last weekend.

He simply stated that Malykhin is in possession of the two biggest prizes he wants to get his hands on, which are the heavyweight and light-heavyweight golds.

And that, as he explained in an interview with South China Morning Post, does not mean it would be the biggest fight in his career.

He said:

"The guy [Malykhin] is not the biggest fight, you know, I need the two belts. He has my two belts and he’s gonna give me my two belts."

And after making an example out of Ketchup like that, his main event tilt at ONE 169: Atlanta would be having more hype than ever.

Oumar Kane sets an out-of-this-world example of Boucher Ketchup

It seems that Oumar Kane successfully became one of the most feared heavyweight MMA fighters in the world's largest martial arts organization after what happened at ONE Fight Night 23 last weekend.

Despite all the hype surrounding the debut of fellow Senegalese wrestler Boucher Ketchup, 'Reug Reug' simply made him an example for those who wants to challenge him next, especially the triple-champ Anatoly Malykhin.

From the start, it was evident that his rival's skills were far beyond Ketchup's expectation as he began to swing wildly. Then, keeping his composure, Kane took the shot which closed this fast encounter on the first round.

And next on the line is Malykhin, the triple-champ who holds a 13-0 professional record and 100 percent finishing rate, at the main event of ONE 169: Atlanta at the State Farm Arena on November 8.
