ONE featherweight Muay Thai athlete Luke Lessei is putting complete faith in the strategy his coach drew up for his catchweight (160.5 pounds) Muay Thai barnburner with promotional debutant Cody Jerome at ONE Fight Night 27 on Friday, Jan. 10.
'The Chef' will look to welcome the Road to ONE: Canada tournament winner to the world's largest martial arts promotion with a decisive beatdown inside the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand,
Lessei spoke recently with the Bangkok Post to discuss his game plan for their matchup and said:
"Not necessarily looking for the KO, but the KO is always there especially with the system that we're working with Coach Bob Peach over at Beacon. He's got a good game plan, a good strategy going to deal with a pressure fighter and a volume fighter like Cody."

Luke Lessei grateful for his coaches' guidance
Luke Lessei battled his way to being recognized as the fifth-ranked ONE featherweight Muay Thai competitor, and he is grateful to have the right people around him to help take the pressure off his shoulders.
In the same interview with the Bangkok Post, the Dubuque Martial Arts Group affiliate said:
"That’s the thing, I’m finally not putting pressure on myself. I’m just in the gym with my coaches and they’re taking care of me instead of me putting all the pressure on myself."
