McGregor previously withdrew from a UFC 303 return due to a broken toe. He was scheduled to face Michael Chandler, who is now set to take on Charles Oliveira in a rematch at UFC 309.

For now, the Irishman will continue training and sharing updates of his progress.

His opponent remains unknown, especially if Chandler emerges victorious against Oliveira come UFC 309 and advances to a possible title fight.

Conor McGregor sought to fight Terence Crawford recently

Conor McGregor is never short on ideas, so it comes as no surprise that he sought to embark on another journey into the boxing ring.

The Irishman intended on facing the great Terence Crawford in a two-fight deal, with one bout in boxing and a second under mixed martial arts rules.

But Crawford, despite having a wrestling background, was not keen on facing the former UFC two-division champion in the octagon. Ultimately, no agreement for a fight was made and McGregor is still expected to finish out his UFC contract.
