MMA legend Demetrious Johnson has been around for a long time in various high-level stages, but his latest muse is Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitions.

Johnson recently ventured into the Worlds and bonded with the famous Ruotolo brothers in a training session, which had him awed.

Moreover, he favors their grappling style, as both Kade and Tye are always looking for submission without giving their opponents a chance to breathe or recalibrate.

That grappling style hits close to home for 'Mighty Mouse', as he is also a fan of fast-paced action without once pulling guard for too long.

The ONE flyweight MMA world champion shared this revelation when speaking in JAXXON Podcast recently, saying:

"I think, in my personal opinion, if you’re pulling guard, you have 30 seconds to do something. And if nothing happens, you have to stand back up. I remember Mikey Musumeci talking about this, he was like it’s called sport jiu-jitsu. It’s changed."

He added:

"The name of the game is how fast can I submit you. Not can I wrestle you, can I suplex you, or anything like that."

Training with legends has always been a wonderful sight, and with three of them at the same session, the results were phenomenal.

MMA legend Demetrious Johnson can testify about this after spending some hours of grappling sessions with Kade and Tye Ruotolo as the three ONE world champions took a swing at each other.

Johnson shared his experience in his MightyCast podcast when he sat down with Kade after their grappling exchange. He said:

"What is this D'Arce? You guys do it. I felt that damn D'Arce today. It felt like I was getting pulled in by the f***ing Swamp Thing."

Don't miss Kade Ruotolo's next ONE lightweight submission grappling world title defense with Mikey Musumeci at ONE 168: Denver on September 6.
