Superbon has long been considered among the greatest strikers of his generation, yet the reigning ONE featherweight kickboxing world champion believes there's one more mountain to conquer to solidify his spot at the top.

To achieve that feat, Superbon believes he must dethrone Tawanchai PK Saenchai for the ONE featherweight Muay Thai world title in the main event of the stacked ONE 170 card.

The showdown between the two world champions transpires on Jan. 24 at Impact Arena in Bangkok.

In an interview with ONE Championship, Superbon said his priority is to become a two-sport world champion in the promotion.

Superbon pointed out that once he reaches champ-champ status, he can finally call himself the top striker on the planet.

"Firstly, the highest goal in my life is to be a champion of two sports. Being the number one striker. That’s my main goal."

Superbon is one of the most accomplished fighters in Muay Thai and kickboxing history, and his star exploded into a supernova when he joined ONE Championship in 2020.

He's since produced some of the greatest moments in kickboxing history, including his brutal knockout win over the legendary Giorgio Petrosyan to become the inaugural ONE featherweight kickboxing world champion in 2021.

Superbon, however, has yet to fulfill his dream of holding Muay Thai gold in ONE Championship after he fell short in his first crack at Tawanchai at ONE Friday Fights 46 in December 2023.

Nevertheless, Superbon has his shot at redemption when he challenges Tawanchai for the ONE featherweight Muay Thai world title for the second time in his career in Thailand's capital city.

Tawanchai says he has Superbon figured out ahead of ONE 170 super fight

Tawanchai believes he already has Superbon all figured out ahead of his world title defense at ONE 170.

The ONE featherweight Muay Thai world champion said in an interview with Sportskeeda MMA that he's figured out what Superbon would throw at him once they're locked inside the cage at Impact Arena:

"Superbon’s strength is his sharp eye, razor attack, and good timing. But now I can read him like a book, I know every trick he going to bring to me, but I won't say it now."
