Denice Zamboanga has been riddled with bout cancellations and injuries that have kept her from competing for the ONE world title over the last few years.
Even as the 27-year-old Quezon City resident faced the threat of pulling out due to another hamstring injury she suffered late last year, Zamboanga wanted to risk it all and proceed with the fight to get it over with.
Speaking to ONE Championship in a recent interview, Zamboanga said she trained with the injury and worked around it, and is thankful it was not an issue.

'The Menace' said:
"Sure there are times wherein I fear I might aggravate it, but I’m grateful that the risk paid off. My injury recovered and I didn’t miss a beat in training."
Now, Zamboanga is ready to seize the moment and take home the ONE Championship gold when she steps back in the ring this weekend against a very dangerous opponent.
