UFC featherweight contender Arnold Allen recently discussed his fondness for his hometown club, Ipswich Town FC.

Arnold Allen appears to have a liking for football, and League One football club Ipswich Town happens to be his favorite.

Featuring as a 'Fan' in a recent video uploaded to the club's Twitter handle, 'Almighty' spoke of the fondest memories he has of his hometown club:

"So me and my friends used to... I don't know if you remember back in the day for the under 16 or under 18, it used to be a pound of ticket that used to come all the time. Every home game would come, would [go] out the back and get autographs of the players. And that the brochures you're going to get. [Like the autograph book?] Yeah, it was like Matt Holland or whatever."

The 28-year-old named Shefki Kuqi as his favorite player at the club:

"The main guy was... Shefki Kuqi celebration every time. It's good. You don't do that. The swan dive. I used to love it. Just running dive in the grass. That's probably one of the best."

Arnold Allen reacts to missing interim featherweight title fight

Arnold Allen is considered to be one of the best fighters in the UFC's featherweight division. 'Almighty' currently stands tall with a fight record of 19 victories and a solitary loss. Seven of his wins have come via knockout and four via submission. Allen boasts a current win streak of 12 fights and is undefeated in the UFC.

Despite holding such records, the Brit was left out of the division's interim title fight. Reacting to the matter in a recent interview with Abz Talks, the 28-year-old stated:

"I was a little bit surprised. I thought I was in just with the win streak on its own. I know the last fight wasn’t ideal, but I thought when you put the nine-fight winning streak without the last one, that was more than worthy than either of what those guys have done at the minute."
