Pedigo Submission Fighting athlete Dante Leon already has his eyes locked on Kade Ruotolo's ONE lightweight submission grappling world title since he arrived in the world's largest martial arts organization.

Leon was brutally honest in his answer during his recent interview with Jits Magazine when he was asked if he is gunning for the 26-pound golden belt, as he stated:

"Yeah, as far as the title, I mean, the title is always the goal. Before ever signing with ONE, I wanted to win the ONE belt. That's just how I've always been. I like to gain."

The 29-year-old BJJ maestro had a dream debut on the global stage when he dispatched ONE Championship veteran Bruno Pucci in their lightweight submission grappling clash last Dec. 2024 at ONE Fight Night 26.

Leon submitted Pucci with a nasty arm-triangle choke to record his first victory under the banner.

Now, he will have a short turnaround and face Tommy Langaker in a catchweight submission grappling contest on Jan. 10 at ONE Fight Night 27, inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Dante Leon reveals love for Thailand and his excitement to compete in front of local fans once more

During the same interview with Jits Magazine, the Canadian star shared his love for the Land of Smiles and how it captured his heart with its breathtaking scenery and culture.

Furthermore, Dante Leon spoke about his excitement to put on a show with local fans inside the Madison Square Garden of East by saying:

"I was just there a couple of weeks ago. So it feels goods to come back. It feels good to get out there before and have a match. I kind of saw the lay of the land, and I kind of know what to expect. I love Thailand. I had a great impression with it, and to go back to some place like that with 20 hours of travel, only five weeks in between the matches, or four weeks in between the matches, it seems a lot, but I'm excited to go back. I'm excited to see Thailand again."

North American viewers with an active Prime Video subscription can watch all the action at ONE Fight Night 27, which emanates from the Lumpinee Stadium in Thailand's capital, Bangkok.
