Jarred Brooks is taking a new approach in his impending trilogy match against ONE strawweight MMA world champion Joshua Pacio.
The ONE interim strawweight MMA world champion said the lengthy promos and trash talk would be nonexistent, and promised he'll only bring violence when he faces his rival in Qatar.
Brooks will face Pacio in a world title unification match for the undisputed ONE strawweight MMA world title at ONE 171: Qatar on Feb. 20, 2025, at Lusail Sports Arena.
Taking to Instagram, Brooks wrote that there won't be any talk from him, yet he promised to leave Doha as the undisputed king of the strawweight MMA division.

Jarred Brooks posted:
"Hey guys! The trilogy is happening, the true champion will be shown on February 20th. 2024 wasn't my best year. Watch me in 2025, no talk just hard work and violence!"
Brooks may have claimed gold in the calendar year, but he still felt that his campaign in 2024 was bittersweet, to say the least.
'The Monkey God' relinquished the ONE strawweight MMA world title to Pacio at ONE 166 after he inadvertently spiked the Filipino star's head to the canvas resulting in a disqualification loss.
Brooks quickly got back in the win column, though, when he scored a first-round submission finish over Cuban Olympic wrestler Gustavo Balart for the ONE interim strawweight MMA world title at ONE Fight Night 24. Then, he faced a split decision defeat against Reece McLaren on his flyweight debut at ONE Fight Night 26.
Pacio and Brooks now head into the climax of their heated rivalry in the same venue where they had their ill-fated rematch earlier this year.
Joshua Pacio says he's the challenger heading into world title trilogy against Jarred Brooks
Joshua Pacio may hold the gold, but he's heading to Qatar with a challenger's mindset.
The ONE strawweight MMA world champion said in an interview with The MMA Superfan that he's hungrier than ever to claim sole possession of the strawweight MMA throne when he takes on Jarred Brooks at ONE 171 in Qatar.
Pacio said of his impending world title match against the ONE interim strawweight MMA world champion:
"I was declared the champion, now I’m the champ. It’s God’s favor, now here we are again, fighting for the belt. I say fighting for the belt because it’s a unification, so that’s what I’m thinking. I’m still the challenger."
