Oleksandr Usyk confirmed himself to be the greatest heavyweight of this generation in the eyes of many, after defeating Tyson Fury for a second time. The pair clashed in a rematch on Dec. 21, with the Ukrainian securing a unanimous decision win to extend his record to 23-0.
Their first fight resulted in a split-decision win for 'The Cat', whilst the second bout saw all three scorecards read 116-112 in favor of the heavyweight champion. But the rematch has garnered some controversy, with many believing the fight to have been closer than the scorecards reflected.
One such person was none other than the voice of boxing, Michael Buffer, the brother of UFC announcer Bruce Buffer. Following the result, Buffer was interviewed backstage by BoxNation, where he said:
"They all had the same score, there was some variances on different rounds. But I thought it was a closer fight [than the scorecards reflected]. It might have even gone either way, but what can I say?"

He continued:
"I thought [Fury] was more active with his jab, and he probably in hindsight should have tried the [1-2], he has a good 1-2. He used his size, reach and everything. Usyk is like a machine, though."

Tyson Fury oozes frustration following second defeat to Oleksandr Usyk
Tyson Fury was less than pleased with the judges' scorecards following his second consecutive defeat to Oleksandr Usyk in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Having tasted defeat for the first time in his career when the pair clashed in May, 'The Gypsy King' was eager to return the favor to Usyk.
However, 'The Cat' proved why he is widely regarded as the best heavyweight of this generation as he secured a unanimous decision win to retain his world titles.
The former WBC champion appeared in front of the media at the post-fight press conference and wasted little time before going after the judges in charge of scoring their fight.
He said:
"I thought I won both fights, but then again I've gone home with two losses on my record now. There's not much I can do about it... I'll always believe, until the day I die, that I won that fight."
Fury continued:
"A lot of people had me atleast two [rounds up]... I'm not gonna cry over spilt milk... But I'll always feel a little hard done by. Not a little bit, actually, a lot."
