Fans reacted to Sean O'Malley posting a satirical video of him training for Merab Dvalishvili with a gun.

Earlier this year, O'Malley defended his UFC bantamweight title for the first time in a one-sided unanimous decision win against Marlon 'Chito' Vera. 'Sugar' quickly changed his attention to the next title challenger, as No.1-ranked Dvalishvili is ready for his opportunity to claim UFC gold.

There isn't a confirmed date for O'Malley vs Dvalishvili. With that said, both fighters have agreed they will fight next, beginning their preparation for an intriguing matchup later this year. Earlier today, O'Malley posted a video on Instagram of him "training" for Dvalishvili's takedowns by holding a gun in one of his hands.

The UFC bantamweight king added the following social media caption:

"Working on my takedown defense."

O'Malley's Instagram video was re-posted on X by several popular accounts, leading to the following fan reactions:

"The only way he stands a chance against Merab"
"Naw this is crazy LOOOOL"
"Define Aura"
"His best work yet"

When did Sean O'Malley and Merab Dvalishvili fight last?

On March 9, Sean O'Malley met Marlon 'Chito' Vera inside the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida for the UFC 299 main event. The rematch between the world-class bantamweight fighters received plenty of attention, but the fight didn't fully reach the expectations, as O'Malley battered Vera without enduring much damage.

Meanwhile, Merab Dvalishvili also made a massive statement in his last fight. On February 17, Dvalishvili put his win streak on the line against Henry Cejudo. The Georgia bantamweight showcased his relentless grappling skills and took down Cejudo several times before getting his hand raised by unanimous decision.

Dvalishvili's latest win against Cejudo extended his winning streak to ten fights. 'The Machine' has maintained his number-one ranking in the UFC bantamweight division, setting him up for a matchup with O'Malley. The question is, when and where will 'Sugar' defend his throne for the second time?

Although it's unconfirmed by the UFC, Dvalishvili and O'Malley have called for their fight to take place on September 14 at UFC 306. The highly-anticipated event goes down inside the Sphere in Las Vegas, Nevada.
