Filipino fighter Danny Kingad seeks to use his scheduled fight next month in Thailand to stake his claim at the currently vacant ONE flyweight MMA world title. The event will be aired live and for free in U.S. primetime to North American fans with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription. In an interview with ONE Championship, Danny Kingad opened up about his pursuit of the world title via the showdown against Moraes, saying:

"I think this fight is the way to get that world title shot after seven long years. I'm motivated. The world title is there for the taking, and I'm eyeing it."

The showdown between Kingad and Moraes at ONE 169 is a rematch of their first title encounter seven years ago, where 'Mikinho' came away with a submission victory in the opening round to retain the world title he was then holding. It was the Lions Nation MMA standout's first defeat in ONE, after starting his campaign in the promotion with three straight victories.

Danny Kingad sees wrestling game as key in rematch against Adriano Moraes

Danny Kingad knows he is up against a formidable challenge again in his rematch with Adriano Moraes at ONE 169 on Nov. 8 and that he must be on top of his game. He believes that his wrestling will play a vital role if he is to emerge victorious against Moraes.

The 29-year-old Filipino spoke about it in an interview with The MMA Superfan, in line with his upcoming match, highlighting how he has been working on his wrestling in the lead-up, knowing that it is among the strong suits of his opponent.

Kingad said:

"As of now, I'm focused in repeating multiple drills, partner plays, those are the things that I'm doing to bring back my wrestling prowess. I'm working on my explosiveness as well because I know it will help my wrestling."
