Nico Carrillo isn't letting Superlek Kiatmoo9 off his crosshairs.
Despite the change of opponent, Carrillo is determined to claim undisputed world champion status once he's done in his next assignment in ONE Championship.
Carrillo will have his first shot at ONE Championship gold when he takes on Nabil Anane for the ONE interim bantamweight Muay Thai world title at ONE 170 on Jan. 24 at Impact Arena.
Taking to Instagram, Carrillo said he continued to push his training at a higher pace ahead of his matchup against the 6-foot-4 phenom in Bangkok.

Nico Carrillo, however, laid out his plan of beating Superlek for the undisputed ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world title once he gets past Anane.
"The graft continues, 25 days, and new, and then undisputed 👑," posted Carrillo.
The Scottish knockout machine was supposed to challenge Superlek for the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world title, but the Thai megastar pulled out of the card due to an injury he suffered in training camp.
Nevertheless, Carrillo still has a crack at a piece of hardware against the surging Anane in ONE Championship's first numbered card of the New Year.
Carrillo is one of the hottest fighters on the planet right now with a perfect 4-0 slate in ONE Championship and a dangerous 100 percent finish rate.
The 5-foot-10 mauler holds knockout wins over Furkan Karabag, Muangthai PK Saenchai, former ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion Nong-O Hama, and Saemapetch Fairtex on his way to the world title picture.
Anane, meanwhile, is on a five-fight winning streak after toppling Nakrob Fairtex, Muangthai, Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai, Felipe Lobo, and Soe Lin Oo.
Nico Carrillo admits he wants to challenge Tawanchai for featherweight Muay Thai throne
Nico Carrillo isn't content with holding just a single ONE world title.
In an interview with ONE Championship, Carrillo revealed that he plans to return to the 155-pound division and challenge Tawanchai PK Saenchai for the ONE featherweight Muay Thai world title.
Carrillo said:
"I also have aspirations to move up and challenge Tawanchai for his featherweight gold, too. I think everyone would love to see that fight."
Although he's carved a dominant path at 145 pounds, Carrillo started his ONE Championship tenure at featherweight when he faced Furkan Karabag in a Muay Thai match in April 2023.
