In a recent episode (#2253) of The Joe Rogan Experience podcast featuring comedian Theo Von, the duo discussed a plethora of topics. Among the conversations, one notable subject was the anti-Donald Trump sentiment in Hollywood.
Several Hollywood celebrities endorsed Kamala Harris for the 2024 presidential election. In the episode, Rogan and Von discussed this, highlighting the significant money spent on such endorsements. Rogan asserted that celebrities should avoid endorsing any political party, as it can alter their public image and potentially impact their business.
Von recalled the political climate four years ago. He alleged that when the Democratic Party was in power, actors were restricted from mentioning Trump or Republican views, as doing so could lead to social ostracization. Von remarked:
"Well, in Hollywood, it was always one way. I remember four years ago, you couldn’t even say the word 'Trump' or 'Republican,' and you would be ostracized.”

The UFC commentator agreed with Von's observation and speculated that the $808 billion entertainment industry's political climate remains unchanged. Rogan said:
“I'm sure it's probably still like that now in Hollywood."
