A lot of pundits raised their eyebrows when second-ranked ONE featherweight Muay Thai contender Jo Nattawut accepted a risky bout with Superbon ahead of his title match with featherweight Muay Thai world champion PK Saenchai. Then again, 'Smokin' Jo' simply loves to fight.

Given the unpredictable nature of the fight game, Nattawut knows he's pretty much rolling the dice each time he steps foot in the ring against some of the most elite strikers in the world.

As such, the Thai veteran says the quick turnaround won't matter when he takes on the interim featherweight kickboxing world champion in the main event of ONE Friday Fights 81: Superbon vs Nattawut on Sept. 27 at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

'Smokin' Jo said during the event's virtual press conference:

"There is a risk in every fight. Winning or losing is just part of that risk. But I'm not focusing on the fight in November; I just want to focus on this Friday night."

After pushing Tawanchai to the limit in their first two outings, Nattawut will meet the 25-year-old superstar for a third time at ONE 169: Atlanta at State Farm Arena on Nov. 8.

The Thai Top Team member certainly wants to leave his match with Superbon unscathed and victorious and bring all the momentum he can against the division's overlord.

Jo Nattawut says Superbon's deadly kicks do not scare him

While Superbon possesses a well-rounded striking arsenal, his opponents are most wary of his signature head kicks from crazy angles.

Jo Nattawut, though, seems unbothered and believes he can nullify the 34-year-old's greatest weapon. He said in the same interview:

"With my experience in boxing and fighting, I have no worries. I have trained in all the defenses and weapons, so I am not worried about this."

ONE Friday Fights 81 will air live in Asian primetime via PPV at watch.onefc.com
