Superlek Kiatmoo9 is confident Nico Carrillo and Nabil Anane's scheduled five-round ONE interim bantamweight Muay Thai world title contest will finish ahead of time.

The No.2-ranked contender goes toe-to-toe with the Algerian-Thai phenom in the co-main event of ONE 170 for a chance to hoist 26 pounds of gold inside the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.

With both men's tendency to hunt for finishes, the reigning ONE bantamweight Muay Thai and flyweight kickboxing world champion doesn't expect this one to reach the allotted 15 minutes.

During an interview with ONE Championship in the build-up to this fight, Superlek provided his take on why a knockout could be imminent in this battle:

"For this fight between Nico and Nabil, I think it's a very close fight. It's a 50-50 chance for both of them to win, and I believe there's a high probability of a knockout."

Combined, both "Art of Eight Limbs" practitioners own six highlight-reel victories under the ONE banner.

Nico Carrillo has graced the global stage with four against Nong-O Hama, Furkan Karabag, Saemapetch Fairtex, and Muangthai PK Saenchai. Meanwhile, the No.5-ranked Anane has bagged a pair of finishes over fellow knockout specialists 'Left Meteorite' Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai and Nakrob Fairtex.

Muay Thai royalty Liam Harrison believes Nico Carrillo will have Nabil Anane's number at ONE 170

While Superlek predicts a closely contested affair on fight night, multi-time Muay Thai world champion Liam Harrison is of the opinion that Nabil Anane will be at the mercy of Nico Carrillo's wide array of weapons.

The Leeds slugger doesn't see 'King of the North' being too fazed by Anane's towering figure, and he believes the Scotsman can mix things up to bait the young Algerian-Thai whenever he attempts to close the distance.

'Hitman' told the promotion separately:

"The way I see it, Nico will kick his legs to bits with leg kicks and going for his body. If Nabil comes inside to knee, Nico will step off and land big, flush hooks."

ONE 170, which emanates live from the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand, will be available at watch.onefc.com on January 24.
